Fix my tie

You are now listening to a young black man,

Like a yawn my mouth has opened

Now can I speak my mind and not be prejudice

Because I won’t be silent like the senile old man, who thinks retirement is a reason to be blind

Open my eyes like a new born baby

What I say may faze you.

Put a belt and fix my tie so I may look black

Yes “BLACK”, to respect you is to respect once color

We are not here to follow our fathers and mothers,

But to become fathers and mothers of those who raise their heads and see us

Yes, I’m talking to you at the end of the bar; put down that shot and go back to your family

Better not drive because you been drinking heavily

Yes, I’m talking to you in the strip club put your money away

Walk out that tinted door to your family & forget that whore

Yes, I’m talking to you buying drugs in the ally way drop the weed cause you have a family to feed

Like a florist I’ll plant the seed and let the light in the dark glow bright

Did I faze you? No…Maybe next time then.
